While there are more than 365 days in the year that offer a good reason for writing, winter solstice takes a special place amongst them. This seasonal turning point welcomes the lengthening of days, the lingering sunlight. It betokens renewal, hope, new growth.
In this one-off workshop we will look at ways of finding voice for this beautiful moment in the calendar year, both its earthly manifestation and its parallel occurrences in life, with thoughts of renewals and awakenings. We will write several pieces that can be continued beyond the workshop; you will take with you techniques for coaxing words from the wordless world.
Facilitated by Sharon Jewell, whose practice embraces visual art and writing. To reserve your place, contact Sharon via text message on 0400 997 647
